Departments and Divisions
The Burren College of Art offers different types of programmes for students; undergraduate, postgraduate, and workshops. Undergraduate studies consist of two programmes: Undergraduate Individual Study Abroad and Undergraduate Global Ecologies Studio Summer School. As for the postgraduate programmes, they include PhD in Studio Art, MPhil (Fine Art), MFA/MA in Studio Art, MFA/MA Art and Ecology…etc. Summer workshops are also offered on campus on various topics.
Facilities and Resources
The College offers its students a variety of state-of-the-art facilities to enrich their learning experience. These include dedicated studio spaces, Wi-Fi, a print studio with a large etching press, and a well-equipped photography suite, with seven black & white enlargers, a UV lightbox and a film changing room. Other amenities include a 3D lab, a library, a lecture theatre, and a drawing studio. In addition to the previously mentioned, a shop, a cafe, and accommodation options are available.
The Burren College of Art Student Accommodation
Two on-site accommodation options are offered to students by the college. The halls of residence are The Lodge at Burren College of Art and The Bungalow. The Lodge offers 11 ensuite twin bedrooms and single rooms. It also offers plenty of amenities which include communal areas, an open fire, a dining room, a TV area, a well-equipped kitchen, laundry, public washrooms, a patio area, Wi-Fi, and wheelchair accessible rooms available. As for The Bungalow hall of residence, it offers two ensuite double bedrooms and two single rooms with a shared full bathroom. It has a spacious communal area and cozy sitting room, along with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.
