Why Study at Bangor International College

Bangor University, formerly known as the University College of North Wales, is a public university founded in 1884. During the 19th century, a drive-in Wales for higher education led to the establishment of this university. Local residents, including farmers and quarrymen, contributed their incomes for its development on a voluntary basis. The university's main building, as well as a few arts and social science buildings, opened in 1911. In 2009, it began issuing degrees under its current name after gaining degree-awarding authority.

Bangor University International College was founded in 2015 by Oxford International and Bangor University (BUIC). BUIC is an Embedded College on the Bangor University campus run by Oxford Overseas, where international students gain English, study skills, and academic knowledge before continuing their studies at Bangor University.
