History and Background
Churchill College was founded in 1960 by a Royal Charter. It’s the national and Commonwealth memorial to Sir Winston Churchill, Britain’s great wartime Prime Minister. It’s considered the embodiment of his vision for how higher education can benefit society in the modern age. Churchill College was the first men’s College to decide to admit women. It became the home of the Churchill Archives Centre, housing the Founder’s papers, and 600 further collections from the Churchill er. After that, it established the Møller Centre for Continuing Education, committed to continuing professional development and building bridges between academe, business, and the professions.

Churchill College Student Accommodation for Undergraduates
Churchill guarantees on-site accommodation for undergraduate students for the full duration of their three or four-year degree. The accommodation is offered in a communal court within the college’s sports ground and spacious gardens. The facilities offered by the accommodation include laundry facilities and wireless internet. Catered options are available with meal options for a great variety of dietary requirements. There are also a number of adapted rooms for wheelchair users or those with restricted mobility.
Churchill College Student Accommodation for Postgraduates
All first-year postgraduate students are offered college accommodation, and students in their second or third year of study may apply to live in college rooms as well. Catering is available seven days a week.
Churchill College Student Accommodation for Partners and Families
Accommodation is offered for families in 20 maisonettes and accommodation is available for students with partners in 20 flats. The flats surround their own garden/playground and there is a laundry room and a community room as well. Additionally, students can request a college card for their partner so that their partner can have access to the college’s facilities when they are on their own. Children are also welcome in the dining hall for self-service meals.

The college welcomes individual guests for bed and breakfast accommodation with rooms that are exclusively available within college vacations. Lunch and dinner are available to purchase in the College dining hall.
