Why Study at Leicester International Pathway College (LIPC)
Based in the heart of De Montfort University, Leicester International Pathway College is an embedded college for non-UK students that offers integrated programmes of study in partnership with Oxford International Education Group. The college mainly offers undergraduate and postgraduate pathways to lead students to a degree from De Montfort University. There are three stages of entry that aim to improve the student’s English language skills and overall academic performance before pursuing a university degree.
Departments and Divisions
The college offers the first stages of the International Incorporated Bachelor's, Pre-Top Up programme and the International Incorporated Master's programmes. For an International Incorporated Bachelor's Degree, the two stages of entry are International Year Zero (IYZ) and International First Year (IFY). IYZ routes are available in Art and Design, Business and Law, Engineering and Computing, Life Sciences/Psychology, Media, and Pharmacy. IFY Pathways are available in Business and Management and Engineering and Computing.
As for the Pre-Top Up Programme in Business (PTUP), its purpose is to facilitate the transition to the final year of an undergraduate degree programme with De Montfort University (DMU) for international students. It’s offered either in a one-term (of 10 weeks) or two-term (of 20 weeks) duration.
Finally, the International Incorporated Master's is a program that helps international students prepare for their postgraduate studies. The program is offered for Art and Design, Business, and Engineering. Its duration is either 15 months (1 term Pre-Master's and a 12 month Master's course) or 18 months (2 term Pre-Master's and a 12 month Master's course).
