Why Study at Barnet and Southgate College

The institution was founded on November 1, 2011, when Barnet College and Southgate College merged. In the year 2000, the old Barnet College and Hendon College merged to form Barnet College. Since the 19th century, the Wood Street site of Barnet College for Further Education has been utilized for vocational education. The college also had locations in Whetstone and North Finchley. When the Hendon College of Technology became part of Middlesex Polytechnic, later Middlesex University, in 1973, Hendon College for Further Education was formed.

Southgate College was formed in 1962 as Southgate Technical College, and its high-street buildings were completed in 1963.

The College has remodelled the campus, investing £6.5 million in state-of-the-art classrooms, learning tools, and other amenities. Colindale Campus

The newest site, Colindale Campus, serves as a hub for construction, ESOL, hairdressing, and beauty courses. The site is a five-minute walk from Colindale Tube Station and a 15-minute walk from Mill Hill Broadway bus and train station, and it is a relocation of the former Grahame Park Campus. Edmonton Green Campus 

The Edmonton Green Campus is located above the stores and marketplace of the Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. Edmonton Green Campus offers a variety of English as a Second Language (ESOL) classes focused on increasing community cohesiveness in and around the Edmonton Green neighbourhood.
