History and Background
The Business School which is commonly known as Cass Business School is the constituent business school of the City, University of London. It was founded in 1966 and it’s located in the St Luke's area, London, UK. Cass is constantly ranked as one of the top-ranking business schools in the United Kingdom and it’s in the global elite of business schools that hold the gold standard of ‘triple-crown’ accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Association of MBAs (AMBA), and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

Cass Business School is known for its world-class research as its research promotes new advances in learning, and informs and supports business and the professions. It has a number of centres for excellence, Interdisciplinary Research Centres, Research Centres, and research and special interest groups. The centres for excellence include The Costas Grammenos Centre for Shipping, Trade and Finance (STF) and Centre for Charity Effectiveness (CCE). Interdisciplinary Research Centres include the Centre for Healthcare Innovation Research (CHIR) and the Centre for Creativity in Professional Practice. Research Centres include Business Models and Technologies (BMT), Centre for Asset Management Research (CAMR), Centre for Banking Research (CBR), Centre for Creativity in Professional Practice, Centre for Econometric Analysis (CEA), Centre for Financial Analysis and Reporting Research (CeFARR), Centre for Professional Service Firms (CPSF), Digital Leadership Research Centre (DLRC), Emerging Markets Group (EMG), Ethos: The Centre for Responsible Enterprise (CRE), Mergers and Acquisitions Research Centre (MARC), Pensions Institute (PI), Real Estate Research Centre, and The Centre for Innovation and Disruption (Cass X).
Research and special interest groups include the Accounting Group (AG). Also, Cass has three faculties which are The Faculty of Actuarial Science and Insurance, The Faculty of Finance, and The Faculty of Management. Additionally, Cass offers undergraduate degree programmes, MSc, online programmes, MBA courses, PhD, executive PhD, executive education, and summer school. Undergraduate degree programmes available in subject areas such as accounting, actuarial science, business and management, and finance. There are 30 Master’s degree courses offered at Cass in full-time, part-time, and online formats; they’re available in many subject areas such as actuarial science, business and management, creativity and innovation, entrepreneurship, insurance and risk management, marketing, and more.
Facilities and Student Life
Cass Business School is located in Travel Zone 1 which is right in the centre of London and offers a variety of facilities and services. It’s close to many tube lines so it's easy to move around. The British Library and London's West End are nearby. The school also offers business clubs for students to develop their professional and extra-curricular skills as well as many leisure and sports activities. Students services are also available for Cass’s students to help them find places to live, make payments, dealing with financial issues, make appeals and complaints, and helping international students.

Cass Business School student accommodation is only offered for first-year students including undergraduate students and MSc students before they move to private sector accommodation. Cass Business School halls of residence have modern private bedrooms and communal living spaces where students can relax, cook, and feel at home; all bedrooms have internet access. Undergraduate halls of residence include five halls which are Liberty Court, Liberty House, Liberty Hall, The Gardens Halls, and East Central House.
