University of South Wales (USW) - Newport Campus Accommodation

Casita offers nine different types of University of South Wales, Newport Campus student accommodation and Newport student halls. Why Study at the University of South Wales, Newport Campus?

The University of South Wales, Newport Campus is the university’s newest campus which was established in 2011. It is situated on the west bank of the River Usk in Newport city centre. The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education presently has departments and courses on campus, including teaching, social work, and youth work, as well as some business courses in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Academy.

The University of South Wales has campuses in Cardiff, Newport, and Pontypridd, The University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport merged on April 11, 2013, to establish the University of Wales. The institution has over 200 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and is the second largest in Wales in terms of student numbers. The university's sites in South Wales are divided into three primary faculties.

Departments and Divisions

The University of South Wales, Newport Campus offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in many disciplines. These include Teaching, Psychology, Computing, Business, Accounting, and Youth and Community Work. 

The University mainly comprises three faculties: the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science, the Faculty of Creative Industries, and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education.

The campus offers students an accommodation option near the University. Newport Student Village is the Newport accommodation hall dedicated for students. It offers standard ensuite rooms with double beds, shared kitchens, and Wi-Fi throughout. The residence’s amenities and services include all-inclusive bills, 24/7 security, CCTV, key fob entry, on-site laundry facilities, a common room with a TV, and bicycle racks.
